Made by Danish design house HAY, these placemats are made from wool and will sit under your plate or table setting protecting the table surface itself from heat or scratching. The mats are made from wool and are best cleaned by spot cleaning with a damp cloth. They can be washed on a wool cycle in a washing machine but they are difficult to dry back to a perfectly flat condition if you do this. Machine washable on cool wool setting although we would advise spot cleaning with a damp cloth. The machine wash works but it is difficult to get the place mat to dry perfectly flat.
